Following the closure of refugee camps in Southeast Asia, a group of Vietnamese refugees stranded in the Philippines for over 16 years unable to find home.
This is my attempt to chart a new way of looking at the world. In the time of media proliferation, it is difficult and confusing to identify the world we live in. With the advent of the internet, it brings us a gamut of views and perspectives from around the world. To me, it is the dawn of media democracy. Now more than ever, an individual can choose, create and broadcast his or her own television channel, newspaper, magazine, book, etc.
This blog will chronicle my adventure into the new age of media democracy. Thou shall not allow a force other than mine to determine how I see the world. It means that media consumption should not be a passive activity. Rather, media should be a tool to confront and discuss about matters that mean most to us.
I invite you to join me on this march to media freedom. Post, link, reply, discuss, ask question at will. Consume media with interactivity instead of making frequent trips to your refrigerator.
